7 Days to Departure.

We'll be leaving for Australia on May 19th and I'm trying to get everything ready to go.
Most importantly, I've got to check on my Visa. Wouldn't that suck, if it didn't go through...
I just finished compiling all my flight times and hotel locations to leave with the roommates and Mom (just in case). So I FINALLY figured out what the actually flight times and time differences are...from U.S. EST to Australian EST is +14 hours. Then, for Adelaide time (the last half of the journey), it will be + 13.5 hours...seriously...did they have to change the time by 1/2 hour? Does it really make that much of a difference?

So the upcoming itnerary is as follows:

5/19/06 6:30 AM (EST or GMT - 4) Depart Washington, DC
11:55 AM (PST or GMT - 7 ) Arrive San Francisco, CA
9:30 PM (PST or GMT - 7) Depart San Francisco, CA

5/20/06 en route

5/21/06 5:30 AM (GMT + 12) Arrive Auckland, New Zealand
7:00 AM (GMT + 12) Depart Auckland, New Zealnd
8:30 AM (GMT + 10) Arrive Sydney, Australia

5/26/06 3:30 PM (GMT + 10) Depart Sydney, NSW
6:40 PM (GMT + 10) Arrive Cairns

5/29/06 1:30 PM (GMT + 10) Depart Cairns

So, for anyone who's keeping track...that's going to be a total of about 55 hours and 20 minutes in planes. Fun.


Okay...now that the travel blog is in order and running, hopefully I'll be able to pop in and update it while underway. If not, at least it was a nice thought. 😊
