We flew from Melbourne to Brisbane for christmas to spend it wil Penny's family. Had a lovely time relaxing and doing "christmassy" things with our substitute family. I spoke to my mum and sisters and my dad and gramps on christmas day which made it really special for me. We were at Penny's for 5 days and then were due to fly back to Melbourn and return to the farm to finish the harvest. On the 27th Decemeber, the farmer called to say that the harvest was so slow that he didn't need our help any more.

So let the holiday commence! We decided not to look for another job and to have a couple of months off to travel around a bit.

We flew back to Melbourne anyway as that's where the car was. And from there, we headed to Adelaide to spend New Years Eve with some friends that we made on the cotton farm in April (Mari and Anti). We all camped together in Adelaide city and had a lovely mexican dinner on the 31st and then watched fireworks on the river front. Lovely to catch up with some friends!
