Well it's been a little while and there's a lot to get through so it might be a bit sketchy in detail depending on how bored I get of typing 😊

Kroombit Cattle Station

Without doubt the weirdest night anybody doing Oz Experience will have in Australia; the compulsary stop at the cattle farm but with a little bit of Goon, possibly one of the most fun. We arrived welcomed by a roast beef dinner before being given a talk by some old redneck man on what occurs at the station and asking did anybody want a job (got to admit not tempted). The night spilled out into activities including: learning how to whip crack, now an Indiana Jones-esque cracker 😊. This was followed up by the Bucking Bronco which for all the blokes was possibly the most painful twenty seconds of their lives and those that had no sense (like me) tried to stay on for as long as possible in the name of pride. When feeling in the unspeakables had been restored Twister was the final order of the day and after earning the name 'Mr Flexible' I walked away with the title :D.

The next morning can be summed up as everybody in the group being classed 'Kings and Queens of the rodeo' after starting with lassooing before actually then having a competition in teams of three of who could muster a goat the quickest...I ended up doing this barefoot as appropriate was NOT worn and the arena of the goats was very much as nature left it, not going into too much detail :/

Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island-The Best Long Weekend Ever!!!

Rainbow Beach's only purpose it seems is as a stepping stone to the world's largest sand island-Fraser. With a population of only 1,000 everywhere except for our hostel shut down at 8 which had the positive aspect of us getting free food at throwing out time at the cafes 😊
At sunset Rainbow beach did have it's little charm by taking a little walk up the hill to a place called 'Carlo Sandblow'..not many people know about it and it's quite an amazing palce to watch the sunset before walking back down through the forest surrounded by Kookaburras and the sounds of nature.
Dingo's was the hostel we stayed at on Rainbow and they had a wonderful, wonderful thing that was greatly appreciated by moi- free pancake breakfast for all guests.

Fraser Island if ever mentioned will always bring a smile to my face....self drive 4x4's which have now been stopped as of today at the time of writing....JZ we christened our van after it's license plate and Team B consisting of: me, Adam, Sarah, Tamara, Tarina, Nikki, Abbe, Josie, Wim, Kate and Sarah created a group that may never be rivalled to hit that island. Highlights included: a song to ward off dingoes, aptly named 'Techno Dingo', Abbe's 'organised fun' on Lake Mackenzie including the epic human pyramid, cooking in the twilight fuelled by Goon making the perfect (if you like blue) steak;a light night foray to the beach and culminating in being scared to death by Wim's driving. If anybody tells you they learnt to drive in Belgium.....don't get in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fraser Island summed up in three words= SO MUCH FUN!!!

Noosa

From the hectic fun on Fraser Island to the chilled tranquility of Noosa, one night in Noosa will always have poetic feelings and be remembered as the perfect parting of the ways of the James, Tamara, Tree and Nikki group. The weather could not have been better, the beach sand whiter and the fajitas we made for tea any nicer it was a wonderful, chilled day. This was slightly tainted getting on the bus the next day to go to Brisbane to find out that a fellow Oz-exer Conrad had had an accident up at Rainbow beach and was in a bad way in Brisbane in an induced coma....fortunatly at the time of writing he has shown signs of improvement so get well soon C-rad!!

I think that'll do for now, I'm currently in Byron Bay soo when I next get the writing urge I'll fill you in from Brisbane, through Surfers paradise and then Byron and Brisbane and Byron have been a lot of fun :D

Hope everyones well....much love, James xx

Nicole Kidman's Understudy!
Hi James, You have obviously smitten with Australia in the way that the aforesaid Miss Kidman hoped everyone would be with the film Australia. (Suzanne thought you were in Austria, so was very disappointed that you hadn't made any mention of Lederhosen, Edelweiss and The Sound of Music). I hope that you are getting a good tan or are you ensuring you are putting factor 5500 on to maintain the Kenny porcelain skin colour? Glad you've managed to partake in things like kayaking, rafting on your journey...you will be spoilt for which events you will take part in for GB in 2012... Hope you manage to take in a decent NRL game...Come on you Storm!...Suzanne spoke to Tony Smith on the phone the other day...A translator wasn't required...apparantly Tony understood every word Suzanne said! (She hasn't got into running a Super League club, just one of her teachers needed a reference from him). I'm sure you are having a great time there....Have you located the Yellow Brick Road yet and been to Munchkinland; they are a MUST see in Oz evidently but please watch out for any Wicked Witches! (Just make sure that Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion are not added to your entourage)! G'day Sport! Stephen and Suzanne
