The trees do not want the salt, so the need to get rid of it. The part yellow leaves have gathered salt from the tree and will drop to remove salt.

Another way to get rid of salt from the tree is for some of the roots to grow up and out of the water and drain salt from the top of the root.

The view is looking out to the Great Barrier Reef and the location where Steve Irwin had his last dive.

A beautiful scene that was full of travail for Captain Cook and his crew. And this is where we met the one meter long lizard going to the beach.
