This just in from the land down under!

so WE MAAAAAADE IT!!! it was a long long trip, made almost completely unbearable by the rude always in a hurry people of lovely L.A. (with the exception of you sister of course lois!) we flew out of regina at 6 am tuesday and made it to minneapolis about 3 hours later. very nice airport; not very nice people at customs. kristine's experience went as follows: Custom man: where ya going?? Kris:well we are in l.a. next on our way to sydney. Custom man: WRONG ANSWER! TRY AGAIN!. Kristine: silence...... i laughed but she was a little frazzled lol. then we boarded our plane to la. all was well until we had to try and kill 10 hours in the airport there. so we ate, slept, drank, all that fun stuff. cruised the main airport hoping to see some celebs but no such luck. so after the longest wait EVER (and screwed up baggage tickets, not fun) we got on the plane about 11 pm and slept the whole 10 hour flight to fiji. I am going to be back to fiji for sure. so gorgeous and the people are phenomenal! a little stressful at the baggage claim area as my bag was one of the last to arrive on the carousel! eeee i almost had a nervous breakdown! so after a few hours there (all bags intact thank gawd!) we were finally on our way to sydney. 4 hours later we were here!! it's about 22 degress, but it's a different 22 then at home. it's very humid, almost wet. then we caught a shuttle bus to our hostel, checked in and headed straight for the showers! you don't appreciate them until you go 2 days without 1! we then ate and cruised the streets of sydney, checking out the cool little shops. we're just takin it easy tonight and then tomorrow, weather permitting, we'll go down to Bondi beach and check that out. we're planning on checkin out the nite life tomorrow nite, as we are exhausted tonight! have definately seen some hot boys!! 😊😊 we start our tour up the coast on sunday (saturday for those at home. we are 8 hours behind on the clock and 1 day ahead fyi) so we are looking forward to that! but i should run! the entries will get more interesting the longer we're here i'm sure. keep the messages coming guys! love hearing form everyone😊 especially Marcel!!!😉

The Journey Begins
So happy you made it there with no MAJOR mishaps. It takes along time but when you think that in the first days of planes it would take 3 days to fly from england to oz (because of all the fuel stops) or before that even weeks/months by ship, you can deal with that day of travel. While you're still in sydney you should take a walk down by Circle Quay/Opera house at night...stunning! Have a great time girl! I'll be checking in!
