Carnarvon
Carnarvon

Something you don't want to hear your repairer saying is "we can't source the parts we need, anywhere". This prompted us to call the manufacturer in Melbourne and explain the situation. So far, with all the issues we have had with the camper trailer, we haven't asked for warranty or help from them. But this time we had no choice - the camper (and many of the parts) are imported and not available in Australia. We argued with them to have the parts air freighted, otherwise we would have been waiting up to two weeks, with no home. They eventually agreed and arranged for the necessary parts to be sent.

With the parts organised to be delivered and nothing else to do we decided to take the opportunity to explore Carnarvon. A trip to the Visitor Information Centre gave us a list of things to do over the next couple of days. Things we did included the One Mile Jetty (Babbage Island), Morels Orchard (fruit ice-block), Quobba Blowholes (whales), Pickles Point Seafood (fresh local prawns), Creations from the Man Cave (art exhibition) - yes I actually got him to go to an art exhibition and he enjoyed it

One Mile Jetty Babbage Island - currently closed for safety
(art made from recycled/re-purposed materials), Pelican Point - Town Beach, Chinaman Pool (birds).

The parts finally arrived on Thursday morning (a day later than expected). Once they had the correct parts, it didn't take long to finish the job. We picked it up just after lunchtime on Thursday, did some shopping, and repacked in preparation for leaving the next morning.

We have altered our route and will be heading to Kalbarri. We will decide if we need more route alterations after we see how the camper trailer goes..
