Called Rottnest because when the Dutch first settled the island there were a lot of these rat looking creatures call Kwakas and the Dutch word for rat is rott. And now you know.

Biked to the top of the hill to see it. It was much better biking down.

To best describe this dim witted animal cross a ground hog and a rat and leave out the brains. These things are extict everywhere but Rotto because they have no predators here.
