Cottesloe Beach
Cottesloe Beach Today I went to Cottesloe Beach in Perth with some people I met in the Vickory flats (mostly other Americans). In order to get to the beach we had to use the public transportation system which is fairly cheap but takes a long time (it took about 45 minutes to get to the beach). We had to take a bus and then a train to get there! It was a pretty beach and the weather was beautiful today, so that was good. The water was fairly clear, but there was quite a bit of seaweed in it.
We went to a reasturant beside the beach for lunch and I had authentic Australian fish and chips. It was delicious! And I found out that Australians don't tip at all. Apparently, minimum wage here is $17.
Before we finially left the beach to go back 'home' we stopped in a pub and had a beer. Woohoo!
That was my day at the beach.
