Late start again today we set off and went to York which was the first inland town they even have the white rose as the emblem and the next town is Beverley but they have a river running through it called the Avon. We then stopped at the Rabbit fence which is a fence built to stop the rabbits moving into the wheat fields. We then drove to the Mundaring weir which is located above Perth and this is the starting point of the pipeline which pumps the water uphill to Kalgoorlie, The structure was designed by CY O’Connor using eight different pumping stations on the way.
We then drove into Perth through the Swan Valley region and arrived in Perth at 3:30pm. I then caught the bus upto Ruth’s. total travel about 2000kms
