5/11/09 Today Alex & Jenny are moving onto Geraldton, we are leaving on Sat. we said goodbye , but will keep in touch. It is still raining on & off & overcast which is a shame for the photos, it is about 25 deg today & those bloody flies are still following us around. We then went sight seeing as we still had no power as they had to replace 2 transistors & we would not have power till lunch time. We went down the coast to see the amazing rocky coastline against the blue water. We saw Red Bluff, Pot Alley where we ran into our “Alien Pyramid Builder” again, I don’t know who is doing it but it’s a bit freaky. Eagle Gorge, Grandstand & Shell House Lookouts where we saw a pod of 15-20 Dolphins. We then went & saw Island Rock & Natural Bridge, all the time photographing wildflowers. We ran into Alex & Jenny a few times as well. On the way back we called into Red Bluff Beach & Blue Holes beach, all good for snorkelling. We stopped off & got face net’s (we don’t care what we look like, we are sick of the flies) . We got back & the power was on, so we had a rest then took the dogs for a long walk along the town beach. We came back & Warwick rang, then we had tea & I tried to talk to Merry on Skype but the reception was not good. We had an early night.

6-11-09 Up early to see the feeding of the Pelicans in the park, they are fed at 8.45am every day. We were lucky today as there were 3 of them & a million sea gulls. Their numbers have been dwindling , which is a shame. After that we grabbed our fishing lines & headed for the river to throw a line in, but it was low tide & there was a lot of mud on the shores, so instead we went to the Seahorse Sanctuary, where they breed Seahorses & sell them to pet shops all over Australia. It was $8 each to get in but worth every cent. It was fascinating how they breed the Seahorses & teach them how to feed on frozen shrimp. We had morning Tea there & watched a film as we ate our scones. We then came back to the van & I spent a few good hours sorting out my photos & catching up on my blog. Jessie has just spotted a big fat lizard going across the road & thank god she is tied up. Den has been packing up a few things as we are heading down the coast tomorrow toward Geraldton. It has been 24 deg today & a little cloudy but not raining. We had a lazy avo & took the girls for a long walk & then cooked tea & watched the TV.
