Nearly eight months on the road and we have just clicked over 27,000kms!

After sadly leaving Esperance, we accidently found ourselves at Wave Rock. We'd had a long day of driving and decided to stop at the next camp we stumbled across. Well, that idea didn't last long when we found a weird campground - think Wolf Creek kind of weird - so on we pushed and ended up at Hyden, home to the famous Wave Rock. We stayed only a night as it wasn't a cheap place to bunk down but made the most of the following morning by doing the walk to Hippo's Yawn and Wave Rock.

After the many times of seeing Wave Rock in magazines and books, nothing really compares to seeing it in real life and to contemplate the process that has occurred in shaping this amazing rock. It is so perfectly curved and smooth that it's hard to believe it is a natural rock formation, not to mention the incredible colours in the rock too.
