Upward!

We deceided to take along a girl I worked with to share expenses heading up North. She seemed fun and easy going and things started off okay but it definetely didn't work out, and we seperated quickly. Advice, if you're a couple traveling it doesn't pay to pick up a single traveler unless they are willing to go 50/50. The expenses don't pan out, you end up paying almost the same amount you would have anyway, so you are pretty much just giving the person a free ride. Look for couples to share the expenses, things are even then, a single travel is just not worth the hassel. So anyway after a sad goodbye we left Perth around 2:00pm, normally we wouldn't bother leaving so late but we promised the other girl so we headed out. We only made it to a small town called Guilderton. It was too late and the office was closed so we just snuck in and set up. In the morning we totally could have just drove out but of course my good nature got the best of me and i went in and paid. Of course the spot we picked ended up being power so

It says beats workin! I agree.
we actually paid more then we should have-go figure!! Nice full day ahead of us we stopped at the famous Cervantes Pinnacles. I honestly can't say I was overly impressed but they were cool to look at. They are actually limestone pillars formed from seashells compacting with rain, so when you know that then they are a bit more impressive. Some people say it feels like walking on the moon when you are there, i don't know about that but it would be cool with a sunset background for sure. That night we stayed in Geraldton, at a caravan park that looked fancy from the outside but camping was in the back and it was a little dodgy; but cheap so what can you do. Next day we headed to Kalbarri which is a pretty seaside town with a lot of great views. We spent most of the time fishing off the shore and walking along the paths. Monkey Mia was next which we were really looking forward to but instead all it is, is a resort area with lots of activities you can pay for and free dolphin feeding in the morning. Camping was pricey so we skipped the

dolphins and went to Denham close by for the night instead. We camped practically on the beach and went fishing off the jetty all night, it was great. The next night we camped in Carnavarnon where the one mile jetty is. We deceided to go at dark, bad idea. It is so long, and there is no lights on the jetty so we only had our dull flashlights to guide us. By the time i got to the end of it i was so freaked out by the whole scene i told Mark i couldn't stay and fish. So we went back to the campsite. All i could think was that would be the ideal place for a killer to wait, nobody could see or hear you, and it's a long way to run to freedom! No thanks!
