Friday 1st Dec
We got up early to get to monkey Mia for 8am where the dolphins swim right into the shallows and people feed them- it is very touristy but it was special as there was a baby dolphin born overnight that turned up. At 11 we went out on a big catamaran but there was just the 3 of us and one other girl- our own private charter! It took us to a peal farm where we learned that pearls aren’t formed by grains of sand getting stuck! Then we saw some dugongs which are weird creatures that started the myths of the mermaids but I’m not sure how they got these cow creatures muddled up with girlfish! We also saw some more Dolphins and a few leatherneck turtles but they were quite far of.
In the evening a Blues band came to Monkey Mia resort and the whole of Denham came over to see it. They were very upbeat and were good.
