Pemberton - Augusta - Busselton
- Climbed the 61m high Gloucester Tree in the morning - Mum did not join us. She sat at the base. It served as a fire lookout point in the past. Enjoyed exhilarating views from the top. A rather safe climb but definitely not for the faint-hearted!
- Embarked on a short 800m Gloucester loop walk with more views of the interesting flora and fauna with plenty of shots of colourful parakeets that dwelled in that area
- Short stop at a nice little woodcraft place in the town of Pemberton
- En-route to Augusta, stopped at the slightly more impressive Beedelup falls. No smell this time!
- Old Waterwheel
- Cape Leeuwin lighthouse tour @ 1430 - rather boring, not worth the $10 admission fee on its own
- Jewel Cave tour @ 1530 - a very informative tour guide explained the mainly stalactite formations here
- We were lucky to enjoy the special promotion @ $22.50 for the above 2 tours and entrance to Caveworks (museum) @ Lake Cave
- Surfer’s Point lookout @ Prevelly Beach (Famous point for pro surfers in the Margaret River region)
- Ellensbrook Cottage - Not worth a trip there. Boring little cottage. Snapped a couple of pictures outside the cottage. Thankfully we did not have to pay the $4 admission fee to view the inside grounds as it was closed
- Arrived in Busselton just in time for the magnificent sunset at the jetty. I guess pictures really say a thousand words here!
- Just made it to dinner @ the Esplanade Hotel (last order was @ 2000 hrs). Great dinner with generous buffet serving of appetizers that included pumpkin soup, salad and pasta
- Accommodation for the next 2 nights were at Geographe Guest House ($140), a well-established 4.5 star B&B that is kept very clean by its owner, Clive who does a ton of work there!
