They could have put any car on the platform but chose the best one!!!
We travelled from Pemberton to Albany in approx 4 hours listening to the local radio and fire alert updates. On driving 147 Km we only saw a total of 12 vehicles coming the other way and on reaching Albany we were behind one vehicle. When we were in Pemberton a local policeman told us to visit Little Beach located in Two People Bay which has great views and a wonderful sandy beach. So we ventured out to find this beach. We passed a local lizard crossing the road in no hurry. Then 25 mins later we were turned back by a local fire truck as they had closed the little beach. Why they couldn't have told us this at the start of the road I don't know !!! ??
Instead we settled on finding the ANZAC monument which gave us views from a height over the local area and went to the local beach. There were road trains entering and leaving the harbour area so took some photos. Took some pics of local sunset over the bay. They also pay homage to the Ford Anglia as they have put it on a high platform (we had to drive back and take
