Roadside scenery - Yarra Ranges Yarra Valley (Warburton) - Daysdale - Lake Cargelligo We are heading north for the warmth and the last couple of days has been more about enjoying the journey rather than focussing on the destination. For this reason we chose to take the long and winding road (is there any other way) towards Lake Cargelligo. The Yarra Ranges had stunning scenery and lovely winding roads. There was a lot of unsealed road but most of it was good - although parts of it got a bit narrow for my liking. We stopped at a little town called Woods Point, but there is not much there... Not much along this road at all really, except the awesome scenery.
The landscape has been changing considerably and I've tried to capture some of this in the photos below. We had planned to stop at Wahgunyah overnight, but the campsite didn't look very appealing so we continued on to Daysdale Football Oval where you can camp overnight and use the facilities for a $5 donation. The landscape the next day was mainly farm/crops and you can see the land is much dryer - not as green or lush. Tomorrow we will explore Lake Cargelligo

Roadside scenery - Yarra Ranges - I don't think it will take long (will visit the tourist info centre first)...
