Melbourne and Sydney

After leaving the south island behind we headed to Australia. We only have time for the east coast so we started in Melbourne. The gourmet centre of Australia (apparently).

Victoria Market
Just on our doorstep at the hostel we had a great market with everything from fruit and veg to clothes and didgeridoos.

Catriona
We managed to meet up with a friend we met in Peru back in November in Melbourne. This is Catriona from Amersham. Small world.

Great Ocean Road
This is one of the must do's in Victoria. It's the famous coast road from Melboune to Adelaide. This is the 12 apostles, sandstone rocks sticking out of the water.

Great Ocean Road 2
Another stop on the Great Ocean Road. This is Loch Ard Gorge. And no, it's not and amazing sunset but Rakesh playing with the settings on the camera again.

Sydney
Not many photos in Sydney so we combined it with Melbourne. We had to have one of the opera house.

The Olympic Park
We went to see the park where the Olympic Games were held in 2000. It's like a ghost town.
