This past week has been a crazy one! Lots and lots of drinking, dancing and whatnot!
Friday was Deb's last night at the waterside so of course many drinks had to be had in celebration of the good work she has done! Claire and I started our day by walking part way into the city...its a long walk so don't think badly of us for catching a tram for the last part! We strolled through Albert park, round the lake...home of the scary black swans...some of you must remember me regailing you with the nightmare I had a few months back where scary back swans were chasing me through Queen's park....well, they do exist and they are just as scary in real life! Red beady eyes...yuck! Friday was an early one, we arrived at the bar at 6pm and promptly started drinking...as 3am rolled around in a club aptly named prohibition I decided to call it a night! Saturday was supposed to be a quiet few drinks with the Irish boys just beacuse really. Sunday was to be the big day/night! Needless to say that didnt happen. We went to a few bars...spotted another Neighbours ''star'' then headed back to
the waterside...can you see a pattern forming!?! The night finally came to a close at around 5am...clever! Especially seen as we were due to meet people at Geebung (sunday session hotspot) at 1pm the following day!
We made it, all be it a few mins late...the boys were looking a little worse for where as they hadn't made it to bed until 8am! poor Micky was nowhere in sight....a casualty of our quiet saturday night!
Geebung was so much fun, lots of dancing and drinking and general good times were had! After that we went on to a club closer to home, Star Bar, a very random mix of dance music and live bands....all good though! A throughly top night...we even ended up getting our pic taken for the Melbourne out and about website....haha, no link to that as we look a little jaded! Well I look fine but i'd hate to upset poors Debs and Claire! hehe!
Monday just wasnt coming to me there...now I remember! Debs invited Trisha over for dinnner and then not only did she ask Claire and I to cook....she never actually came home.....nice one! oh well....I made some tasty pasta for
us then we headed off to...you guessed it...the Waterside! Sean's fond fairwells....not a happy chap! In bed by 1am for some much needed sleep!
Debs and I just wandered around Melb yesterday, getting a few last minute things for her travels to NZ! Since we had to leave today we celebrated Pete's Bday a day early! Hiis choice for dinner was the Veggie bar on Brunswick...he was not pushed! It was sooo tasty! Afterwards we nipped across the road to a bar to listen to a live band...they were great! Everyone was a little tired from the numerous days before but we perked up when the music came on...we were still dancing away when the lights came up, dont you just hate that!!!
Today....Happy Birthday to Pete!!! All the roomies are meeting at Hudsons for a wee coffee later then I need to get packed up for Canberra and Sydney and the girls need to get all of their stuff together for NZ! Catching the 8pm night bus, should get into Canberra at 7ish tomorrow...
