We spent a manic week in Melbourne searching for a camper van which proved to be more of a challenge than originally anticipated. In between rushing around and between internet cafes, we found time to explore Melbourne. If you like modern, stylish vibrant cities with amazing food, melbourne is the place to be. Being us, we spent alot of time stuffing our faces with ridiculously good food (its hard to find bad food in Melbourne) and sipping on flat whites. We discovered the tasty range of national 'hop based' beverages as well as sourdough cafes serving flat whites, all with shalalalalatte art, of course. Hospitality here comes with service with a smile as standard, the waiting staff as well as every local we encountered are bubbly friendly and helpful to say the least.
The Dandidongs is a local mountain range with a steam train line, lots of happy people hanging out of the carriage enjoying the ride. There is wildlife everywhere, squawking parrots and cockatoos shouting in the palm trees, various type of turkey with strange features such as huge feet, or red prehensile wrinkly heads, lizards, bats and best of all, koalas!!!
Looking forward to finding a bus
and hitting the road.
