So we're settling into life in Melbourne very easily and absolutely loving it. It took us a while to find somewhere to stay but we've now got ourselves a little apartment in St Kilda East, close to beach and easy access right in the centre of the city. It's also a few mins walk to Chapel Street which houses plenty of boutique, trendy clothes shops to keep Caroline busy. The apartment is great, and has it's own tennis court, swimming pool and BBQ so we're pretty sorted really. We also have a rather friendly possum waiting by the window each night as it gets dark.

As you hopefully all know, the one day series came to an end yesterday and for a nice change we WON. We managed to get to the first final at the MCG on Friday and had a really good day. A really exciting finish and it felt great to be a POM, as we'd had to endure plenty of stick throughout the game. And the fans didn't accept defeat well as we found on our way to the train out of the ground. But it was all part of the fun and made us feel even more smug.

Yesterday, we went along to St Kilda festival. Completely free and apartment the biggest festival in Australia, there were loads of music stages and stalls and all sorts to keep us entertained. It was so busy and the sun was blazing. Even with some gale force winds blowing we were still too hot and came back nice and toasted.

Other than that, the job hunt is about to begin, we perfecting our CVs and will be heading out with them in our hands once we've finished here, honest. But then again sun is scorching again today and we do have a pool right outside our place.... we'll see!

Up the Poms!!!
Hi me again, great lot of photos. It was good to see the cricket I can just imagine how sporting the aussies were when they lost. Your little place looks cosy and with its own tennis court, swimming pool, BBQ and very own possum what more could you ask for !!!! I'm pleased to here you have finally decided to have a look for some work and sure with your talents you should both pick up a job easily. It must be hard trying to get used to the heat especially every day. but after the cold weather we've had recently it sounds quite appealing. Off to London Wednesday then Friday, should be good. Thanks for keeping in touch. Look after yourselves. Love you lots Mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
