Cook Islands How beautiful it looks. What a good idea to go there - I had never heard of it. Richard and Hil fly to Bermuda on Wednesday so they will be somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic when you fly overhead! Looking forward very much to seeing you on Saturday at the airport - please let me know what flight so I can check on arrival time. Tons of love Mum
WoW! More fantastic pictures!!! Now I'm back to school - I'm even more jealous! What I would give to be waking up to that beach or watching that sunset! Coooooooooooooolllllllllll!!!!!! Rob :)
Fiji Have just seen your pictures from Fiji which brought back some memories. We stayed on Plantation Island which is one of the honeymoon islands but it was a long time ago and it was absolutely beautiful - so unspoilt. The only thing on the island was the central 'restaurant' and about 20 huts for the guests. The water was so clear and the snorkelling was unreal - then I found out why nobody else was out. There was a shark lodged at the entry to the reef and it had been there for two weeks! Nice of them to say! LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. VERY JEALOUS.

N.Z Hello Chris Caroline, Another beautiful part of the world you have seen and another set of fantastic photographs supported by superb descriptions. New Zealand really is a beautiful place. We have seen lakes in Canada that beautiful torquise blue colour against the backdrop of the snow capped moutains. You will be moving on to a more tropical climate soon and experiencing the warm sunny days in the Cook Islands and Fiji which hold very happy memories for us. What a fantastic journey you are having and how many wonderful sights you have seen. We are fully into our house move right now and struggling to get rid of all our clutter, which will be in about 2 to 3 weeks.W e havre just watched Liverpool lose the Asian cup final to Portsmouth on Penalties, Grandad says we are getting rid of all our miserable games before the season starts proper. By for now all our love Grandad and grandmum xxxx
New Zealand It does indeed look as if you have just walked through the wardrobe my darling girl. What a beautiful place. No wonder they film all those block busters down in New Zealand. I had no idea the scenery was so beautiful or that there was so much wildlife and space there. The rock formations are amazing and I LOVE THE ICE CRYSTALS. I want to come there badly! Now would do. Love you very much - Mum
New Zealand How beautiful everything looks. The most amazing photos - those icicles are unbelievable. The Tasman Sea looks very calm in your picture - it wasn't like that when I was crossing it all that time ago. Waves coming over the top of the ship!! quite scary - we were all locked inside. It is one of the roughest passages of water on earth I think. I love those seals just sitting there. It does look truly amazing - I hope one day to get there and see myself! I agree with Rachel - my favourite pictures yet!! love you - Mum
You've wasted no time in getting 'stuck in' to New Zealand! How are you handling the shock of climate change? Are you merely putting on brave faces - or are you really enjoying it as much as the excellent pictures suggest?
Have you located Upper Hutt?
Will take a copy of this latest update of your journal to Nicky's birthday lunch tomorrow, with a copy for Gran, but page 2 won't print for some reason.
If you do have time to track down Andy Wardle, he might bore you schitless with his QPR videos (Sorry Chris, I don't imagine he's even heard of Liverpool living that far away from Merseyside!)
NZ Another superb set of photographs supported by an articulate description of events, ten out of ten. Milford Sound is a very historic area, and looks beautiful in its winter showing. Your experiences and travels have been great to follow, thanks to your consistent reports. It makes me wnat to dig out my passport and pack my case. My next trip of which I have already done some homework on is to tour Newfoundland but with our pending house move it will have to wait a little while. Keep supplying your exciting commentary's and look forward to your next installment. Take care of each other ,stay safe. Love Grandad Granmum. xxx

New Zealand At last! some news and what an amazing set of photographs!! New Zealand looks wonderful. I'm glad you both arrived safely and hope you are managing to keep warm (I like your hat Chris!!) I am so jealous you managed to go and watch the All Blacks play, its been an ambition of mine for years since my college days. I know how fanatical the supporters are. It must have been quite an experience. As usual you seem to be packing loads in and having a wonderful time. Be careful with the driving. I am so worried you won't want to come home after your amazing adventures this year. Keep enjoying it all, make the most of the time you have left and keep safe. Miss you loads Mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Photos What lovely scenery there. You are very lucky to be discovering New Zealand - Caroline my Mum and Dad went to visit some of their friends over there when they came to see me in Oz. They loved it. They were staying with a farmer friend - not sure where. Love the hats - tons of love - Mum
Home news Hello Chris and Caroline. I hope you are both well and enjoying New Zealand. Have you seen any snow yet. Not sure where you both are at the moment. Last we heard you were thinking about hiring a car, did that happen? Rach arrived back from Ibiza last nigh and seems to have had a great time although she said it was too hot!!! Makes a change from the lousy weather here at the moment. Looking forward to breaking up next week and setting off on our holidays, hope its as hot as they say!!! We are counting down the days till you come home. Make the most of the time you have left. Let us know where you are. Keep safe. Love you loads and loads Mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Well-done Caroline for a great present. Seems like you had a great experience. The view looks spectacular. I hope you both enjoy the time in NZ. Doesn't seem long now before you will be back in the UK! All is well here. Look after yourselves. Dad F
Sidney What a fabulouse birthday treat that was , well done Caroline, Chris you will certainly remember this birthday, no dought you followed it up with a few 'scoop's' at Darling harbour. You can reflect on your escapades when you are back home having a pint in the 'Dog & Duck or some such watering hole on a foggy winters night. We are steaming ahead with our house move tipping out all the things we picked up on our travels and emptying the loft of all the 'just in case ' things we've stored for years. Liverpool have signed Torres, Benayoun and will sign dutch international Babel for £12 million so it looks like they mean business. When you come back bring some bloody sunshine with you, its rained here for the last 6 weeks. God bless take care of each other come home safe Love,Grandad/Granmum xxxx
Welcome to our travelblog site. Over the next 12 months keep up to date with all our adventures as we try to make it around the world. Starting off by flying to Delhi on the 14th September 2006, we are hoping to make it through as many places as our money will take us.
It's been a while coming, but with after graduating from Uni and decided enough was enough at work, we headed to the travel agents to buy these tickets. An easy decision really and realising that we might just have the money to do this, or at least get us half way, we finally paid up and there was no turning back.
