Melbourne Australia!!!!

We stayed with Erin in Melbourne, it was so nice to see a friendly face :-) she was really good to us and definitely showed us a great time and also it was easter!!! On our first day we went on the neighbours tour which was soooo cheesy it was funny though we had the most hilarious irish tour guide called Jerry who was a die hard neighbours fan. On the tour we just went to the street and then saw a few buildings from the set and for our picture taken with one of the old characters called stingray. It is apparantly a must do in Melbourne!! That night Erin took us to the comedy festival which was taking place in Melbourne and we went to the Best of British one. One of the comedians me and Michael had actually seen randomly one time when we were in Birmingham which was very strange!! And his set was pretty much the same he was kind of funny but not the best haha. After that we went out to a few bars in Melbourne one of them was hidden right up a little alleyway but it was so cool it was outdoors and the bar was in a shipping container and so were the toilets. Melbourne is such a cool city it has a very young vibe and so many wicked little places to go out.
We also went on the Phillip island trip which is where all the little penguins live. What happens is at sunset all of the penguins come back from fishing in the ocean and they all come up onto the beach and go to their nests. There are thousands of penguins and we sat in the dark on the beach watching them all it was amazing and they are sooo cute. Google it if it doesn't make much sense it is really hard to explain and also I don't have any pictures because we were not allowed to take any as it damages the penguins eyes. On this trip during the daytime we also went to a wildlife sanctuary where we got to cuddle the the Koala Bears they are the cutest things ever and they really do feel like teddy bears :-) we also fed the wallabies and a kangaroo!! On the same trip they randomly took is to a farm where they had sheep shearing and a highland cow haha!! It was a good day though but freezing it is so hard getting used to the change of temperature after 6 weeks in crazy humid heat. On our last day in Melbourne it was Easter Sunday so we went on a pub crawl with Erin and Carol (Erin's housemate). We started in St Kilda and then went into the main city to an Irish Bar where a band was playing. We really didn't wanna leave Erin's but we were soo excited to go to Sydney :-) michael was not in a good way for the sydney plane journey haha! xx
