Mick & Parrot
Not sure whether his ear was safe, the Parrot had picked at his hair which he has some in his beak. Geo: -37.6541, 145.516
Trevor and Robyn up early and showered before Mick and I had, we had a cuppa with them before getting ourselves organised to go to the Sanctuary.
It had rained during the night and looked like it was going to be a wet day so we set off for the Sanctuary with our brolly, called at the shopping centre for food for tonights tea and Mick needed a slab for later today. Handy having the Engle in the back of the ute so after packing the food we arrived at the Sanctuary around 10am. Early with only a few people around, the lady who sold us our tickets said 'we will have the park to ourselves by the look of it'. Mick was able to use his Seniors card for a discount and I still had to pay full price! Not fair!
Had breakfast at a small coffee shop at the entrance and a bus load of people came in so the weather had not put too many off visiting. It also stayed dried for the whole day, which was good.
We had time to spare before the Spirits of the Sky Bird Show, which was the main event we really
wanted to see, so walked around the Sanctuary and saw some beautiful birds, Platypus, Reptiles, trying to see the Tasmanian Devils but they were hiding, still managed to see lots of different animals and sad to think some are almost distinct.
Well the show was amazing which I managed to get some pictures of these beautiful birds, the best being the Buzzard and the Wedge-tailed Eagle. We had to sit and not stand and these birds just flew around even brushing my face with a feather, quick so I just snapped the photo's hoping some would be okay. Luckily I did get a few good ones and the show was well worth waiting for.
After the Sanctuary we had lunch at the Jolly (something)! Mick managed to get another discount by using his Seniors card and this time they included what I bought as well.
We then went to the Rose Gardens which Mary, Micks sister advised us was worth a look, unfortunately it was not at its probably because of the time of year, but was worth a look, no prices on the plants so not sure what they would have sold for.
We then drove back to the Caravan Park and spent
A Dingo
Mick managed to pat this Dingo a lovely afternoon chatting and having a few drinks with Trev and Robyn, with nibbles that Trevor supplied, he had come better prepared then we were for a couple of nights, we had another BBQ for tea and most of the afternoon watched the park fill up with around 120 vans belonging to a party of people from Probus, they sounded like they were having a very good time.
Tomorrow we leave for Yarram and have had a great week away before I start a new job on Monday. Cheers to all until next time!

It was actually a camel disguised as a parrot.
