Very skittish - wouldn't let me get even near them
Drove east out of Adelaide this morning - the countryside for the first 50 km is drop dead gorgeous - rolling hills with green crop, pasture land, and some forest. Things flatten out and dry out as you progress eastward. After about 400 km we got to the Grampion Mountain (National Park) area - rugged rock hills with forest cover. A stunning windy mountain road, loaded today with motorcycles as it should be.

Later today, at Halls Gap we finally had a good sighting of kangaroos in the wild. Several large groups were coming out of the forest, and apparently bedding down for the night in some local pasture areas. Not sure if this is their normal daily routine, but it certainly looked like it.

Then an amazing dinner at the Halls Gap Bar and Bistro - likely the best of the trip so far. Really fresh ingrediants, great preparation and service. We talked so long we were the the last ones there and closed out the place (no surprise to those who know us).
