East end of Squally Cove
Our last big walk last weekend. Looking down the hill and towards the SE
We are now just doing the last minute things with cleaning up the ferns on the tracks and airstrip and will have to only mow parts of the compound. It has been so dry that there are only parts of the compound where the seed heads on the grass are all that need cleaning up with one or two small patches of grass that have got long enough to cut. Thank goodness as we are still only cutting it all with the Deutscher mower. We have had a boat in for the last couple of days so we have had some company for our last week and they left this morning so maybe we will have Deal to ourselves till Sunday when the Strait Lady is expected to come up with the incoming Caretakers. Monday will be a sad day as you will understand but hopefully we will get back to this island we have grown to love.
