Well the weather wasnt great for most of the four days that Danni ,(Roo), was with me.Still it was a great adventure! lots of scenery, lots of trees, the odd cream tea !!
Was seriously impressed with Tasmania.Reminded me of New Zealand, slightly smaller though !
Started with free beer in launceston, (the pub next to the hotel was shutting and the beer had to go)!
The Drive to Derwent bridge the next day was long , twisty and completed in darkness avoiding the wildlife!
Big fat Wombat in the dark, had really earned that beer when we got to the pub and just made dinner. lovely roast !!
More driving got us down to Port Arthur then Hobart. Fab city, stunning position surrounded by the sea and backed by Mount Wellington.
Had a Great night out at a pub with music, another wonderwall moment, shame Chris and Belle werent there 😞 , great pizza too !
Roo left on the saturday after we d cruised the Salamanca markets which were great and i drove up the Mountain for stunning views after the lovely botanic gardens and seven mile beach.Had a second night in Hobart before heading off to Helens on
the coast and the stunning Bay of Fires.
then back to Lonnie for the last night.
Wish the weather had been better and id left more time for Tassie.
Stunning place and should be top of everyones list when they re in Oz 😊)
