Hobart to Triabunna
The morning was overcast as John repaired Sue's puncture and was a bit mixed all day with the odd bit of sun appearing and the odd bit of light drizzle. We headed out to the Tasman Bridge on a dirt Cycleway alongside the busy main road and over we went taking it carefully on the narrow track. At the end we had to drop back down the hill and under the road to pick up the Cycleway heading north. It was a lot day again with 1100m of climbing and made worse by a NE wind which was in our faces just about all day. An early lunch was had at a nice cafe in Richmond called The Maze before climbing more hills to our second stop at Buckland. In between this we passed a Kart Racing track with some karts whizzing round and making me envious and reminding me of our time in the Vendee in 2013 where we raced some pretty fast karts. Whilst the harbour at Triabunna is pretty smart, with some posh looking boats tied up, it is s bit of a one horse town with no restaurants. Just a take away and a chip van plus the IGA supermarket to cater for all the campers in the town (village). Triabunna is, however, the port for visits to Maria Island which is a wildlife park. Perhaps another time?

Coffee and breakfast on the wharf.
Hi Richard, I was trawling the blogs and found yours about Triabunna. We have been operating a coffee / refreshment van at the Maria Island Ferry Terminal at the Triabunna Marina for the last six months and can now offer travellers like yourself great espresso coffees and some light snacks right at the waters edge. We are there from 8am every day except Tuesdays to serve the ferry passengers. Tom

Hi. Thanks for the info. I am not planning a trip there next year but could in 2017. I will bear you in mind for breakfast.
