Hi guys. Not doing a big written blog this time - mostly just photos. As you can see, Launceston and the surrounding area of the north coast of Tassie is simply beautiful. The weather was mostly great while we were in this area, and as with Hobart, the peeps are uber hospitable and friendly. One thing (meant to add this in the gourmet blog but forgot) - there's a restaurant in Launceston called the Waterfront which sits on the river Esk. We had the biggest prawns we've ever seen in there and they were great. They were the size of baby's arms and served with chilli mornay sauce and cheesy risotto. Amaayyyyzzzing!!

We had a fly fishing lesson at Launceston Lakes. It was great - the guy who gave us the lesson - Allen - was very good. He was a senior who had moved to Tassie from London many moons ago. He was real patient which was a good thing as far as Shaz was concerned. We did crap it a bit though when he got us both to put wellies on - not to protect us from mud, but to protect us from Snakes!!!! Aaaaargghhhhh! Apparently 50% of

the time he sees some when he's out at the lakes. Fortunately we were lucky - none of them were out playing when we visited.

Anyway - we are off today to catch a plane back to Sydney, so gotto go for now. There's one more Tassie blog to come after this, which is all about the Penitentiary site of Port Arthur on the southern Tasmanian Peninsula. Will prob add this over the weekend because we go to New Zealand on Monday. Can't believe how quickly the time is going..

Bye for now leetal petals,
Al & Shazmania. xxx

Shaz got a bit bored with the fishing after her line kept tangling, so she took to photographing insects.

Visiting folk you know
I don't suppose you'd be interested in stopping by Linley's place, but if you are, let me know and I'll pass along her email address. Your photos are amazing by the way, and your blog is as great as always. Cheers me up on a cold, wet, windy Washington day.
