First Day!
Early morning! We got together at 6:20 (well most of us were there, right?) at Northbridge school. Tina G and Tim F drove us to the airport while Bec and Fintan were driven by Bec's dad.
The flight was quite OK apart from the fact we had to braid kids' hair madly in order to get ready for the first performance at Parliament House.
Here I asked soe kids to write a bit about our first day.
---------------------------------------------
It was a very good flight except for the fact that every 5 minutes we had to change seats so we could finish off braiding everyones hair for the performance at 11:45 at the Parliament House. When we got off the plane, we met Megan and got our bus then headed of to the Jump Rope for Heart office. We collected our shirts and free apples then we walked down to Parliament House. It was really fun because we got to be on TV and in the newspaper.

As we arrived at Parliament house we were a bit confused as to where we were going to perform as
all we could see was a driveway/carpark full or peebles (not the best performance stage), however, we stuck to it and did out best only having a few hiccups. As we were preparing for our performance we met the Tasmanian Minister for Health, Michelle O'Byrne. We showed her some of our skills. She could go a cross-over 😊 It was a bit intimidating for our first performance as we were being filmed for the local news, cameras and reporters everywhere, although I think everyone was a bit excited at the same time. At the end of our performance we showed the Health Minister (Michelle O'Byrne) some more advanced skills and she really enjoyed it 😊 Later on, a reporter from the local paper asked for Georgia Gale, Camryn Gibson, Louis Byrne, Lulu Webb & I (Jeremy English) to have some of our photos taken as he was maknig a story on us. We all did our best making the most of the grassy area we were on then moved to the concrete for some running/Skipping shots 😊 Overall, for out first performance we did well seeming as we had a fair bit of pressure on us however, we handled it
and redirected our nerves into big smiles and happy faces :D

Once we arived at mount wellington it was so cold that it had just snowed a couple of days before. The whole team and I eagerly jumped out of the bus and ran towards the snow. We didn't get to play with the snow until a couple of photos had be taken but we didn't mind. As soon as we got to play we had a massive snow ball fight where we split into two teams, everyone against Fintan, and we threw massive snow balls at eachother. Even though we had so many people shooting snow balls at Fintan we still to not get barely any snow on him. Afterwards we where all complaining on how cold our hands were seeing none of us had gloves on. Overall we all had a blast and I can't wait to do it again.

Well, the shopping trip was certainly an event to remember. 12 people running in every direction collecting food for dinners, snacks and chucking the occasional box of 'Cocopops' or the litre jar of 'Nutella' into
the trolley only to be taken straight out again! Two trolley loads and two boxes of pizza shapes later, we finally piled back into the car with all leg space taken up by large plastic bags. After a big group effort to pack away all that we'd bought, dinner preparation began - cutting vegetables on the ridiculous glass cutting board! Whilst I made the salad and Jeremy, Kieran and TK BBQed the meat, everyone else just ran around like crazy, occasionally offering to help. The dinner was great! Kebabs, sausages, bread and salad (in the sieve that favoured dripping on Kieran :D). The accomodation is great, especially the cute cottage with pretty comfortable beds!! A few games of scattegories and celebrity heads later, everyone was in bed by 9:30 for an early start tomorrow.

It was great to catch up with Michelle, the Health Minister, whom we met during the last trip. Also Graham, CEO of the Heart Foundation, whose pet is a DUCK. Hopefully we will get to meet the duck again on Friday.
During the mad shoping time, we bumped into an ex-Northbridge parent. I wasn't too sure but as I
am game enough asked her if her sons were at Northbridge and yes she was Ethan and Liam Gray's mum. They may be coming to see us perform at Salamanca Place on Saturday.
Early morning again tomorrow - we will be driving to Launceston.
I will get more kids to write about their trip.
See you tomorrow.
