Hi everyone, today is day 2. We slept well in the swags last night although it was a clear night and only 3 degrees. Woke up to a beautiful morning. Today we are going to a town called Kingoonya. This is a one pub town. We decorated our car with black duct tape stripes to make it go faster. Haha. Driving to this town is on dirt road with a lot of dust. The problem is Xavier loves tailgating and we are copping a mouthful of dust and Xavier is loving the fish tailing and trying to miss the potholes. Plenty of pee stops along the way. Before we left our camp the Mystery Box organisers provided us with a brown bag lunch as we would be in remote south Australia. Well remote is an understatement. we are driving for hours without seeing one house.
One of our team members had a flat about 100km from our destination. We rasped the tyre without taking it off. Wohooo. Found our destination. One pub, one petrol bowser, half a dozen run down houses or sheds and one roaming horse. On the way we also checked out some sand dunes and natural lake at their base. What a beautiful sight. Dinner was at the pub to a crystal clear night with all of the stars out. Something you don't see in the city anymore. No idea where we are going tomorrow.
