21/10/07...more importantly my birthday! Kellie being the lovely ladie that she is drove me to the airport early in the morning. I said goodbye to Kellie and joined the stupidly long queue at 7.15am. Halfway down the queue i realised that they have a computer system where you get your flight ticket from before queueing up to check in your luggage...the queue i had been in for 20mins already. I had no choice but to leave the queue, get my ticket and start from the end again. I wasnt the only one though that was confused by the system as there were no signs up telling you what to do. Tuesday 1oth From Androssan we got a permit to camp along the Trougbridge tourist drive at a spot called Kemp Bay. We camped on top of the cliffs in the most sheltered spot we could find. Wednesday 11th We drove from Kemp bay up through Moonta Bay where we stopped for a walk and an ice cream. Drove from there to Port Broughton for lunch and on to Port Augusta where on attempting to take the dogs to the water to cool off I got stuck in a bog. We also went to a historic lookout with great 360 views of the area. From there we drove along the road past the Mt Remarkable National Parks and Telowie George Conservation Park which would become our view from the other side of the bay where we camped ... read more

All I can say is stuck in Port Bonython/Whyalla for my birthday. NOT HAPPY Anyway, got called out @ like 3am..... and I'm cranky! It's a bit like "happy birthday Dan, by the way enjoy climbing through black tar like sludge". Best present I've ever had....NOT!!! Will be home soon though.... read more
