KINGSTON ON MURRAY

We headed off for a week to explore the Murray district. We had bought an annex for the caravan and wanted to try it out. Luckily we worked out how to put it up before it rained. The caravan park was pretty basic but it is in a great location to explore the surrounding district.

We enjoyed an eco cruise along the Murray river, lunch at the Overland Corner Hotel, and visits to the local wineries including Banrock station for lunch overlooking their eco lake.

Although South Australia is suffering drought at the moment, there is plenty of water in the upper Murray.

wildlife
This is a bird watcher's paradise with many species to be spotted along the river and in the wetlands areas.
