To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity on the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour
--- William Blake.
The beaty of nature never cease to amaze me. I am utmost calm when I’m surrounded by
trees and
water. It’s always nice to a take break from city living now and then and smell the flowers.
Since the start of
Spring, we’ve been doing a lot of day trips and spending weekends out of town as much as we can. It’s nice to get out of winter hibernation and be active again.
Buderim Rainforest NP
With no clouds in sight, the sun beats down harshly. Anyone who dares to hit the beach without sunscreen on will get their skin cooked within 10 minutes of exposure. So we thought of hitting the rainforest instead. It’s so delightful walking through the rainforest. The air is crisp and the climate is just pleasant. Rays of light filter through the trees canopy permeates heavenly ambience. The sound of
babbling brook is an absolute poetry to my ears. The
Serenity Falls didn’t make me feel serene, however the chilling water did awaken my senses.
Currimundi Lake
Since Jamie bought a
kayak, we’ve been going to the
lakes and
rivers more often. We stumbled upon
Climbing Trees
Tallebudgera Creek a really nice lake called
The Currimundi Lake when we’re driving along the coastline of
Caloundra. It’s perfect for kayaking and young kids. About 50m from the lake is the surf. I found the waves a little rough but good for surfing and bodyboarding nonetheless. We usually hit the surf when sun is about to retire...I'd really like to avoid lubing up with sunscreen if I could help it.
It’s been fun and tiring September month. We’re heading to the beach again tomorrow. Then Sunday, we’re off to the
Defence Force Air Show...Cheers ! ;>
