Landed in the Sunshine State

Well it is certainly warm here in Australia, hot sometimes. The plants, birds and insects are very different to what we are used to. The beautiful birds are quite noisy in fact ^^ and the flowers smell lovely 😊 Our campervan is BIG, but then again we do need it for 4 adults 😉

We stayed at Catherina's (mum) uncle at Boreen Point for 3 days, which was a brilliant start to our Aussie Adventure :D Kiama and I made 4 fans; 2 little children who we played with every day, and two guys who were captivated by our English accents hahaha. Don't worry Scott and Alex, dad made it clear we are taken 😉
Kiama and I were taken out to see lots of wild kangeroos :D We also sailed in our uncle's boat a couple times 😊 We are all covered in mosquito bites now 😞

Yesterday we visited Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo :D Apart from being 60 degress celsius, it was great seeing the kangeroos, wombats, koalas (which are sooo cute and soft!), emus, lizards (we have seen them everywhere already though), dingoes, echidnas (cute spikey creatures), crocodiles, kookaburras (they are noisy in the wild!) and many more!!! I would certainly recommend anyone going to Queensland to visit this amazing Zoo :D

too hot?
It might be very hot there in tropical paradise, enjoy. Yesterday here it was 3C and with the wind chill factor felt more like -3C. Glad you guys are having a good time together. I am waiting to hear what it's like travelling vast distances in the camper van. :) love, Paula x
