It's certainly another world out here in South Western QLD. The Barcoo Shire is approximately the size of Tasmania and only has 3 towns, Stonehenge, Jundah and Windorah. These 3 towns have a general store, a pub, a school (where only 6 or 7 children attend) an information centre, come library and a police station. The entire Shire's population is 452. First sighting of Windorah, we wondered what we'd found. With 100 residents, Windorah is powered by this Solar Farm.

Excited to find tomatoes here, $8.40 kg though. The Information centre gives the public a free internet hour per day using their satellite internet.

Opposite the store and is the last pub for 386kms. The stand is there to view the yabby races held in the street. We just missed them by 1 week.

Based on a 1906 slab hut from Whitula Creek and the Cooper Queen, a large, iron, flat bottom boat. It was used up to 1950's to transport people, food and sheep across Cooper's Creek in flood.

There were spots all along the river or here. This was an easy place to swim Lil.

There were 12kms of bike, walking tracks. A great place to explore.

Always easy to stop and watch the bird life. These pelicans performed a sweet dance for us.
