Townsville - Cairns

22nd October 2012,

Spent the night at Alligator Creek, Townsville. After breakfast and a morning shower, drove through Townsville for some sight seeing before continuing north towards Cairns. Stopped at Five Mile Creek swimming hole near Cardwell for lunch and a quick dip. Had to stay at a caravan park in Cairns as there were no camp site available. The girls aren't complaining because there is a pool!

I found your blog when Googling 'Alligator Creek'. Just wanted to say hello and commend what you are doing. What a great experience for your girls - and you two as well! I presume you are a long way further on by now so well away from the wet season.
