Tue. 23. The blog goes on. Townsville. Warm at last. Giant banyan. Red pink tropical somethings. Went to 'Sun' - free weekly - since I had no response from Bulletin. Serious grilling from editor who turned me over to new reporter. Hopefully article next Wednesday. She had a sign over her desk - Accuracy Above All . Nice thought. We'll see. $7 jug to ponder. Tried to find friend from Perth with no luck. Pelicans feeding by floating and plunging head. Later spruiking met John Pope who knew the infamous Harold Scruby and actually liked him!!! John seemed the sort that could overlook a lot.
