Surfer's paradise

Skem's first night in Australia was on the East Coast at Surfer's Paradise. 5 of us girls headed straight out for a VERY drunken night...as seen by the photographic eveidence. We started off at The Avenue, with a live band, bottle of vino and danced non stop. We ended up in Melbas, and continued into the silly hours. We recovered the following day on the golden beach.

After our adventures up north, we passed back through Surfer's, Skem and Sharlene rented an apartment for a week while us girls looked for more permanent accomodation and jobs. We found a beautiful apartment in Broadbeach, which cost an arm and a leg. We were living on noodles and MINCE pies. Oh how I love the mince pies!! We only had to take a few steps and we were right by the sea, taking many evening strolls listening to the pounding of the waves.

For two months we tried to make it work in Surfer's but unfortunately the money just wasn't coming in so we headed back for Sydney.
