We arrived last Thursday, to a rather cold Brisbane (well, colder than we expected). Sis and partner met us at airport and we drove to Noosa. We got such a beautiful apartment that we decided to stay for 2 nights. Then we travelled on to Tin Can Bay. The plan was for us to stay overnight and get up really to feed the humped backed dolphins that come into the bay each morning. But, Alas... 'twas a bank holiday weekend so no accommodation available.

We knew it was a really long drive back to Rockhampton, so after a couple of tense hours of driving, we found a place in a town called Ceeders. Wow! What a beautiful little town - beautiful architecture. There is a sad history for this town. Approx two years ago a fire broke out in its hostel, and some people were unfortunately killed.

We stayed in a really nice place (name will come later). The front facade was in the old Queensland style, but down the side of this, a brand new building exists. The room was really large with a double and bunks, it also had a great sized walk in shower/bathroom. TV, kettle teabags milk sugar, fridge alarm clock. But most of all - the bed was just great! All this, and a continental breakfast thrown in for 65 dollars!

I do have photos but forgot to bring cable with me, so will post up after trip to shopping centre.

We are in Sis's house out in Mount Morgan, just 40 mins drive from Rockey. We will go on our big road trip up the Bruce Highway starting from next Wednesday...will keep all posted.
