Woke to the sound of the apartment telephone. Thought maybe we'd overslept and that reception were giving us a wake up call, but no it was our friend Lynya making sure we were on track to arrive at her house later today! I think she's excited at the prospect of their first UK guests since their arrival in Oz a year ago! Grabbed brekkie at a nearby cafe and walked to Central train station for the 11.30am service to the Gold Coast for our two hour journey north to Nambour. Glen met us at the station; we went back to the house for a quick cuppa before picking Lynya up from work (Maroochydore shopping centre). Sat with a glass of wine watching the fruit bats flock into the trees and listening to the wildlife - kookaburra, catbirds (green birds that sound like babies crying) and crickets. Had roast beef dinner and a couple of glasses of wine, watching the sun go down on the verandah, reminiscing completed the day.
