On Day 279 (for us) the Wallaby Wanderers laid down a challenge to us. The challenge to write a poem, that had us all going Bloggers of the world unite, while we all sit and write As follows please see the poem that was written for Kangaroo Jack by the Wallaby Wanderers whom we finally met after several months of "meeting" online. DAY 278 It was a late night last night, but the early morning came easy, the sun was streaming through the mosquito netting, at 7.15 I jumped out of bed to go and shower in the hope that there was no queue. As we are at a campsite at the back of the park there is a separate loo and laundry block, so perhaps less people use it. My hunch was right the showers were empty so in I went. The water was hot and lovely, even though we have bush showers there really is nothing like standing in a cubicle with plentiful hot water. I return to find Andy has wandered over to the Wallaby Wanderers caravan, a cup of tea in hand and mine is on the table waiting for me. Andy is busy ... read more

Day 107 - Mount Surprise We woke up this morning wondering if anyone else on the campsite would still be talking to us! The four of us had laughed ourselves silly through a game of rummy last night and, not that it matters, we believe that collectively Kangaroojack got their arses kicked! There was plenty of time to sit, chat and have breakfast this morning. Andy & Caroline were especially chuffed because it meant they could have marmite on toast since they’d got their own supplies of it! Once breakfast was done and buttered another challenge was laid, mini golf! Andy & Caroline have been regularly playing mini golf throughout their 9 month trip and Bedrock campsite has its own rocky little course so we thought, why not - bring on the Bedrock Open!
