May 24. Noosaville library scene cut from lush bush. Internet impass under repair. Barby lunch by the river, boats ferrying and fishing. Then past Venetian canals, the Sheraton to Noosa woods river mouth park. Warm sun, lightest breeze. Met many most notably Michelle of all loveliness. Who lauded flag then got one on bamboo pole for herself! When she pointed out the sea eagle I knew it was love. Nursed on TI three months, from Sydney, here helping mom. Mika told a story of hitchhiking, truck driver had angina attack and veered off the road through the spinifex, kangaroos hoping, sun setting, back of Broken Hill. She grabbed the wheel. A story teller! Too! A coquettish laugh when she said goodbye. Tonight the meeting of Flags Australia I'm missing.
May 25. PO spruik, then wandered Junction looking for lunch. Lady got flag for pole in Tewantin! Found pasta creamy mushroom. Went to Main Beach. Exhuberant reception. Susie 'Weekender' interviewed me twenty minutes on mobile. Floated on flat water. Strong sun felt good. 3:45 photo shoot Damian very pleased. I'm chuffed. My first lifestyle magazine.
May 26. Early to Eumundi markets which lived up to its lofty reputation. Two large flags went out. Skirmish with security til a busker put me in the know. Much support. Splendid day. Fresh breeze rustling gums and flaying multiple coloured pennants. Eumundi Museum an instant icon. Marvellous. Markets packing up by 2:30 very professional. $2 pineapple.
