Break time in Surfers Paradise

Hi all,
Had a great few days rest in Surfers Paradise over the past couple of days staying in our luxury hotel (seeing as we are the worst backpackers in the world!) In fact, we've not really got much news as we've not really done anything!
We got here on Tuesday morning after a horrible train journey through the night and then a short Greyhound coach trip to Surfers, and headed straight for the beach. Explored the area and the hotel, and went for a nice dip in the hotel pool and the hot tub before a game of tennis.
On Wednesday we headed for the beach again, had a swim in the 8ft waves, it was great fun but James didn't appreciate them nearly drowning him! Next up was the surf lesson - James sat on the beach to take the photo's but it works out that Nat is the worst surfer ever. Only just got onto the knees, didn't manage to stand up, although it was still great fun! Aching a bit now though.
Spent the rest of our time at Surfers just relaxing by the hotel pool or the beach, and eating a lot of food! It's so cheap here, just had an All You Can Eat buffet breakfast for $10 each (around a fiver - bargain!).
Now we're all relaxed we are ready for our next train adventure (business class of course) before we hit the beach again in Cairns and discover the Great Barrier Reef. This is turning out to be really hard work ;D
