Greetings from Surfers!!

Its been ages since our last blog so here goes................

We landed in Brisbane and to be honest we didn't think much of it after Thailand and Hong Kong. Its a good enough city but we missed not having the beach at our doorstep so we only stayed a week and moved on to surfer Paradise. While we were there though we went to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where there are loads of Koala's, Kangaroos and other animals so that was Brilliant. Anyway its really amazing here in Surfers and the beach is unreal. The only thing is the waves are lethal so we are half afraid to go into the water. Its great just chillin on the beach watchin everyone surfing away. We met up with 2 girls from Cork so we stayed with them for over a week and we had such a laugh. we are after meeting a load of Aussies aswell adn they are all really sound. Last week we tried a bit of Beach Cricket with them but we were kinda crap. It was a good laugh though and only an excuse for a drinkin session really. There's beach cricket now every Monday so by the time we get home we'll be professionals. We had our first real Aussi BBQ the other nite but it lashed rain really heavy the whole time. It was nothing new to us but they were allergic ha ha. Sure a bit of rain never hurt anyone !!! Went fishing aswell the other day but we made our own rods out of water bottles with a bit of gut and a hook !!! We saw some kids doing it in Thailand so we said we would give it a try. Sarah caught a tiny fella alright but you can barely even see him in the picture so we just threw him back in.

The next big session is Paddys Day !!!! There are a load of us heading to brisbane for the night so it should be a good oul day.

Other than that it has just been one big session either out on the girls Balcony or doing a pub crawl. Having a great laugh and were really delighted we came back. We moved into our own apartment yesterday. We love it. Its on the 12th floor of a high rise and its over lookin the beach so its great to wake up and hear the waves crashing outside the balcony door !! the next thing now is to look for jobs. Were dreading that bit but it has to be done so we just have to get over it.

Here's hoping ye never run out of grub and have to rely on your fishing skills. Had always thought of fishing as rods and hooks not ballygowan bottles and minoes. Enjoy

hey!! ok officially depressed!!! i want to be on that beach sunning myself but no!! stuck here inthe pouring rain.....i swear don't think it will ever stop!! don't know how ye were so close to the kangeroos...i would of been terrified!!! looks like yer having a ball again ye lucky things.....thats great though. everyone at cognex says hello,especially graham!!! he's over my shoulder now distracting me!!! talk again soon!! bye!!

Hi Guys , Luv the pictures of the Kangeroo !!!!!!! Thought ye weren't going to write anymore it took ye so long.......... Anyway guys great to hear from ye. Glad your enjoying your freedom but the serious stuff starts now (work). I know it'll be a huge shock to your system but we all do it. Keep up the cricket it sounds good fun. All good in the "Croft".
