Isn't it beautiful
Early again for the real trip to Fraser Island. I has the same briefing, with the same guy, Monty who talked waaaaaaaay too fast. No one understood him especially at 7am. We got put into groups, 2 annoying Canadian girls, Kayla and Hayley, both very bossy, 2 annoying Dutch girls, loud and immature, and 2 blokes Jo (Irish) and Drew (Canadian). We spent most of the day getting told how to load the car, put up tents and how to drive, that sorta thing. We left the depo with our 4 wheel drive, both the lads could drive it, we went the wrong way but still managed to get to the ferry on time, and not last either! The ferry took 40mins, once we got there we let the tyres down and went the wrong way again. We found this out when we got to the top of a hill, there was parked a van right in the way. So Jo, being Irish, got in the van and moved it. we drove passed only to realise it was a dead end. We got back on track to Lake McKenzie. This was absolutely beautiful, as you can see in the photo. We managed it!
left there for Central Station, the camp site and 4pm, and put up our tents. We had a bbq and had another fairly early night! However we were still awake in our tent when Jo got drunk and drove off in our van, not happy about that.
