... and very low tide

Monday 25th July – Coming Back South

Having made our trip to the Tip yesterday, our small Group has now become 3 duos, each following a different itinerary for various reasons. So we are now just Nigel and I in the 505, and Phil and Paul in the 404. We didn’t need to rush off from Seisia too early as we were only travelling 270kms, so we did a small stock-up at the Seisia supermarket, and hit the road about 10:15. An uneventful trip saw us setting up camp at Moreton Telegraph Station once more. When we stayed here on the way north, the campground was very busy, although not crowded. This time (could it be because it’s early in the week?) there is hardly anyone here – nice, ‘cos we don’t have to wait for showers!

It is surprising how very little vegetation and animal life there is in the Cape. Perhaps it is all in the sea!
