on the way to Cairns 009
Half way down the range view from a lookout Left Undara yesterday and set off for Cairns, advised by fellow travellers to go via Mossman making it a more pleasent drive. Most of the drive was good , a little hairy coming down off the range lots of twists and turns with speed down to 20-30 ks in some places's.Did the journey in one go stopping off at Mossman for a short time. Some loverly little towns and village's on this route which is part of the Savanna Way.When we head off for the Northern Territory we will have to retrace our journey up the range along the Savanna Way, passing Undara as we head further inland.
For now we are in a C/P at Palm Cove 30ks outside of Cairns, council run park and reasonably priced, only downfall is that they are upgrading the facilities and the boardwalk which means at times it's like being on a building site.We will scout around and see if there is a better site nearby.Off to Cairns now to find the airport and replenish the fridge.
