Great Barrier Reef

Today we got up early to get to the harbour at 7.30 to set sail at 8.30 to the great barrier reef. It took about 2 hours to get to 'Hastings Reef'. We went snorkelling for a while then had lunch on the boat. Our first ozzie bbq with proper fish and everything! we then made our way to 'Saxon Reef', which was so much prettier. i wanted to spend longer in the sea but got back onto the boat because we wanted to go in the semi submarine. straight from that we got a little speed boat to a pooey platform ready for the helicopter ride. It was only about 10mins but had great views. as we got back in the little speed boat to get back to our boat we heard a pop, and saw feathers everywhere. sliced in the propellers, poor bird! the captain was loving it tho!! anyway we went straight back afterwards on the top deck, thats wen i got a little bit burnt, as today it was 33 degrees. exhausting day but well worth it
