Cairns is beautiful. Very humid and tropical. The evenings are really comfortable and are the best part of the day. A really laid back lifestyle. Everyone rides their bike or strolls along the Esplanade. The Esplanade follows Trinity Bay which is really a mud flat more than a beach and is a long boardwalk that leads to a manmade lagoon and the marina. It's great grabbing a beer at Cairns International Hostel, sitting outside and enjoying the balmy evenings.
