Great Barrier Reef!

Hi everyone, not much to report so this is just a quick blog but since the whitsundays we are now in Cairns. On the 27th April we went on the Great Barrier Reef. We had to get up at 6am and we left on the boat at approx 7:30am. We knew it might be a bit rough when they were telling everyone to take sickness tablets so I knew this wasnt a good sign straight away! It was all good to start with and we had the first snorkel but after that I could feel myself going a nice shade of green. Luckily I had Stacey on hand to look after me and get me some more sickness tablets and a bit of food and after the 2nd snorkel and I was much better. Especially after standing on dry land for a short while! We snorkelled first of all along the wonderwall of the reef and the 2nd snorkel was at Upolu Cay. We got to see lots of coral and a few different kinds of fish. Unfortunately we didnt get to see any sharks or turtles but it was a good day. We have just been sunbathing and chilling out ever since and we had a night out last night and we're having a ladies night on Thursday. We also made friends with Kerrie from Scotland and she is currently living and working out here and has made us feel at home and we had a movie night with her in our hostel room :-) Anyway we'll update you some more when we're off on our travels again. PS hope you all watched the wedding. We did with approx 30 fellow travellers and it was a good atmosphere. The bride looked stunning! x
